ABOUT MUSIC AND ITS INFLUENCE ON INTELLECTUAL AND GENERAL HUMAN DEVELOPMENT

Music plays an important role in the culture of each country and humanity as a whole.
Everyone knows that even ordinary listening to music entails a change in the general condition and mood.
It has been proven that playing a musical instrument improves neural connections between the left and right hemispheres of the brain and has a positive effect on learning ability in genera. People who practice music have improved memory and verbal-logical thinking. Their brains begin to work better, not only in practising music, but also in all other fields of activity. The results of a study of people who started practising music as adults showed that after six months, students demonstrated a higher speed of information processing, as well as sustained improvements in memory and fluency of speech, compared to those who did not practice music.
Also, recent research shows that when playing the piano, a person is able to process complex information better, since playing a musical instrument involves mental training, which a person cannot stimulate, for example, by sports and any other activities. The improved work of the right (creative) and left (mathematical) hemispheres of the brain is transformed into the ability of a musician to more effectively approach solving any problems that appear in the social environment.
Nobel laureates Max Planck and Werner Karl, who were the founders of quantum mechanics, studied piano in their youth and played very well.
The world-famous Albert Einstein studied music and believed that playing classical works by Bach and Mozart developed his intellect.
The philosopher Nietzsche played the piano a lot in his youth. And for some mathematicians, improvisation on musical instruments helped to find solutions to equations and problems.

Larry Page is a programmer, developer and founder of the Google search engine; as a child,
he studied music and musical composition. There was a piano keyboard in the first office where Google was created. Larry believed that his musical education inspired him to speed up in computing. “In a way, I feel like music education has led me to a high–speed legacy at Google,” Page said. According to Larry, there is a great awareness of time in music.
Scientific research has shown that playing the piano leads to numerous structural changes in the brain after the first year of study in early childhood. These changes lead to memory activity and improved learning ability.

In the study of the effect of music lessons on memory, adults were divided into three groups:
The first group consisted of musicians who had studied playing a musical instrument for more than ten years.
The second group consisted of those who had been playing from one year to ten years.
The third group consisted of those who had never studied music.
Each of the subjects passed a set of neuropsychological tests.
A group of people who studied music for more than ten years showed the highest results of non- verbal and visual-spatial memory, as well as a high level of acceptance of the new information with
rapid adaptation to it.

The connection between playing the piano in childhood and improving abilities as a result of long- term functional changes in the brain is an equally important topic of research on the influence of music on the brain. Children who have studied the piano for at least 3 years surpassed their peers from the control group in auditory recognition ability, fine motor skills, vocabulary.
The positive brain changes induced by piano playing, music lessons persisted, demonstrating the continued benefits of early music education for children.

Playing a musical instrument brings not only positive emotions associated with creativity and development, but also has an overall positive impact on life and its improvement in all areas.
